Deployment Diaries: Or, What Happens When the Model Meets the Messy World

We’ve all seen the demos—highly optimized models performing flawlessly in vacuum-sealed environments where data is pristine and users behave exactly as predicted. In retrospect, those demo environments were being rather aspirational. In this workshop, we move past the hype cycle to examine the operational reality of AI deployment. Our team has spent the last few years in the trenches, documenting what happens when high-powered models encounter the "beautiful mess" of real-world usage: noisy data, legacy infrastructure, and the unpredictable nature of human interaction. We’ll be opening our Deployment Diaries to share our personal war stories—the documentation of where models falter, how hallucinations manifest in production, and the tactical hurdles of the "last mile" integration.
